I'm the kind of person that would choose open most of the time if it was an option, however sadly in FL you cannot open carry. So I am applying for my CWP soon.

If it's just to the range I'd go with open. Unless of course you plan on going to a bunch of other places after or before that.

Concealed for me, if I'm going to the range I'm likely there to train. Might as well train from where I normally carry.

Technically, you're not supposed to at this range either, but I think I'm in there often enough, or I don't look shady enough to say anything to.

Besides, this is the range that sponsored my CCW class.

I'd probably carry open just because it's more comfortable and it's not like you're going to be robbed at the range. If I was there to train, I'd wear what I normally wear (concealed IWB).

A few years ago there was a guy that went and shot up a bunch of ranges, stole the guns off of the owners and went on a crime spree. It might be an urban legend. I haven't bothered to check up on it. After seeing the type of people that frequent ranges around here I'd believe it. I could probably walk into a range, grab a gun out of a guy on the line's hand, shoot everyone else that's on the line and leave without anyone even trying to stop me.

    I voted for open.

I hate open.. but sticking a hot gun under a tshirt or inside my pants is all ittakes for me to justify it
