the wife sent me to kmart and to fill the water jugs about 30 seconds after i had already removed my mtac so i just threw on my blackhawk cqc owb and headed out. i went to kmart, walked around, went to get some meds, went to the back to check out some reels, walked out, went fill the jugs, talked to a guy, left, came home.

nothing eventful. no old women fainted. no kids cried. my gun didn't even accidentally go off and kill 3 dogs.

    amazing. :eek3:

btw, i was in jeans and a t-shirt fwiw.

It's legal here in CA, but I don't want to be the one to test it. :noes:

I would figure you were a cop.
Just carry yourself right and don't fidget with it.

Hey Mr. Smartypants (oh wait, we already have one of those), I would, if the name change thread was reopened.
    But its not.

isn't that crazy? Of all places, TEXAS doesn't allow open carry.

I've probably literally open carried 50 times. No one has EVER given me a problem.

Thanks for mistaking mefor a cop, thats actually flattering!:) I'm just an interested citizen.

Yeah exactly right, if you LOOK like you're supposed to carry it, most will assume you're supposed to have it. I might do it and report back.

My roommate and several friends open carry all the time. Roommate did get stopped and question by the police when someone freaked out at Home Depot and called the police saying "there is a man with a gun in our store :noes:" The cops just asked for his id and permit, had a laugh about it and told him to be safe.

    Your mother.
If you plan to make a habit out of it, I highly suggest spending $100 and getting a nice digital recorder. You are BOUND to run into trouble from a cop that doesn't know the law or doesn't care.
