    You can see at the start of the video the police putting a body onto a stretcher. This was one of the hostages that was murdered by the terrorists.

    All terrorists were either killed or captured during the assault. Only one hostage was killed. The SAS suffered no casualties.

    Damn. WTF was I doing in 1980 that I didn't remember this happening? I was even stationed at an RAF base at the time! :dunno:

    But :bowdown: for a successful raid by teh SAS!

    Another peice of trivia: Apparently after the publicity surrounding the SAS following the siege, the army recieved over 200 applicants for the SAS selection course. 25 made the cut.
