Brand new 5D mark 2 is on it's way to the Colman home.
got jealous of that high ISO goodness, huh?
Can I have money to blow on camera purchases please?
I did indeed. I had some Nikon jealosy working at my kids wedding when the shooter did some great evening shots in very low light.
You have the classic 5D ja?
I sold off my 1D mk2n to help pay for it so I'm not as balling as you would think.
and you still bought a Canon. shame, shame.
jawol and a 1Ds mk 2
*looks at d200, Tamron 17-50 and Tokina 12-24*
Yeah, you're right.
There is no shame in doing the right thing. I think Confusious ( or was it Gengis Kahn) who said that.
How many stops of light are you gaining with mk2?
Two but most likely one usable stop. I've pushed my 5D to 1600 but that's as far as I'll go with it. I don't know if I'll go past 3200 with the mark 2. I'll shoot some tests to see.
I want one too.
scratch that. I want 2 of them.
Let's not get greedy now!
All I saw was the back of his camera. He's not finished processing all the pics yet.
You will love it. 6400 is useful. You will never ever go back to the old 5D...mark my words.
I am sure you will put the video feature to good use. I hope you also got the grip for it and extra battery.
And make sure to go through the settings and turn off the dynamic LCD brightness.
I got an extra battery but no grip.....yet. I have a grip on my 5D. I'll probably play with the video feature a bit but to be honest, I doubt I'll ever seriously use it.
aww fuck it. I just ordered the grip for it. I love the grip on my 5D and I'm sure I'll want one on the new camera.
Do they now call this the "Jcolman Canon Acquisition Syndrome"?
