    2 tbsp splenda
    ground cinnamon

    Total is about 30g carbs. My usualy PWO is about 50g. This tastes fucking amazing though.

    On lifting days, I have a PWO shake usually with 50g carbs (high GI) and 60-80g whey before I even leave the locker room. When I get home, it's 1-1.5 cup brown rice and 8oz chicken. Today was a really light day and I just wanted a small ammount of PWO carbs and this fit PERFECTLY.

    i thought the best is 4:1 carb:portein right after and then 1:1 like 1 hour later :dunno:

    ie; drink skim choco milk immeditately PWO and then eat 50/50 meal later

    I am only taking in a total of 150g carbs on lifting days. I have to space it out wisely.

    I slam the pro/gatorade when I finish up my last sets... gatorade just goes down because Southside is over 100 degrees inside. 45min drive home, fire up the grill, hop in the pool, dinner and I'm good. I can't eat right away after training in the heat

    I now add a spoon full of Dexterose and malodextrin (both sugars that your body absorbs differently) to my PWO shake.

    Dextrose = glucose

    maltodextrin is a small polysacharide made from partial hydrolysis of starches.

    I stand corrected.

    I used to do the whole whey/dextrose immediately PWO but now I just head to subway. I'm doing better now than before too :dunno:

    It's probably just a matter of calories. I can easily consume a 2000 calorie sub in 5 minutes. Getting 2000 calories from whey is not so easy.


    I don't buy into any special protocol. People focus on this shit way too much when it might make a 5% difference in the end. Lift hard, get some protein and carbs after, and thats as complicated as it needs to be IMO.

    :werd: That's what I meant. I don't even eat a 2000 cal sub. I just eat it because I'm hungry, it has protein/carbs, and it tastes good. Easily beats whey+dextrose :bowdown:
