    DO WANT!!!!

    http://www.dpreview.com/news/0908/09081906canons90handson.asp

Less megapixels; lowlight photography in mind. Smaller, much slimmer than the g series... Also has 2.0 ap at the widest and all manual controls. Something new as well LENS RING CONTROL!!! That sounds pretty awesome. Adjust zooming from the front ring, or aperture, or shutter speed, etc...

Sounds awesome. very happy with this development.

I want it too, just wish it had a hotshoe, then it would be perfect.

im cool on the hotshoe personally. It would add to the bulk of the camera, and honestly i would rather have it be kept slim and form fitting.

The S series was always a pretty expensive line. A quick look at dpreview shows the S80 listed for over $500 when it came out.

It really doesn't seem outrageous for a small camera with so much capability. Less than a G10 anyway.

I think the g9 is too much for me. err, too big. I like the pic quality, but I really dont use the features of it. Id rather get a smaller size in a p&s than features.
