Until I formatted my external drive to FAT32, I just used Macdrive in order for windows to be able to read OS X Journaled formatting (or whatever it's called).

I just formatted the dirve in Fat32, but Partition magic would only let me make a 200gig partition... so now i have a 200 gig and a 110gig partition, both fat32. Another downside is that I can't copy any files larger than ~4gig on any of the two partitions. How am I going to back up my copy of Pirates  (not the one starring Depp :mamoru: ).

oh shit, for reals? :o I don't remember seeing FAT32 as one of the format options... I'll have to go look when I get the macbook back.

Is there any work around that 4gig file size limit annoyance?

    It doesn't say FAT32, it says MS-DOS.

i even moved my file to the external, and then I still extracted it inside the external to see if that was the problem. No dice :(
