Just curious if anyone has any experience with this. Before this becomes a flame war I am just looking for an honest opinion. I plan on spending quite a while cutting this year(might hire someone with a friend/family member). I want to get fairly lean and I am also considering eventaully competing in a natural bb contest (thats a ways away though). If I have learned one thing throughout my training its that if you want results.. seek out the most well qualified (be it strongest/smartest/etc) person you can and take their advice. So here I am.. looking for a nutritionist/coach. I have come across a few of the larger and well known people such as Swole Cat/Bobo AKA FLA Nutrition/etc and a few smaller less known people such as Tad Inoue. Now while cost isn't too much of a factor.. Tad is much more expensive.. so the difference would have to be justifyable. Anyway, if anyone has experience with a nutritionist/coach be in over the internet/phone/in person please share you experiences(costs would be nice too). If you have dealt with or want to reccomend someone not listed.. go ahead.. I'm open to suggestions.

I made my first diet based on alan aragon diet threads, max-ot, and just 15-20 minutes of morning HIIT. Took in around 2100 calories, creatine, whey, but no fat burners. Pretty basic. I actually implemented this plan when i was 200lbs and 7 weeks later im at 175. Last time i was at 175 was 7 years previous. Crazy huh? :)

I have a plan with swolecat right now but things keep coming up and im not able to stick to it...i actually haven't been able to stick to his plan for more than 2 weeks due to personal things coming up. Extremely frustrating! But i do recommend his plans and there are very many success stories. If you followed his recent bulk and cut its insane. So, considering the fact that you don't have to write a plan, spend weeks researching (time is money right), figure out workout routines and such; $200 is a great price. Just follow what he says and ask questions...he typically responds within 24hrs. But he will not hand-hold. If you don't say anything after you receive his plan, you will probably never hear from him again. One thing i noticed very different when im on this diet:

By the 4th day my skin feels very tight and every meal i start sweating. The bloat comes off fast for sure. Im also not much of a "sweater" but sometimes its embarrassing.

Mike, have you personally tried him? If so are his meal plans like the ones in his "Game Over" book? I wanted to give that diet a go but the way the meals are split up and the whole 2oz of chicken here.. 4oz of chicken there would drive me up the walls.

I'm using him right now. I will be posting my before/after pics after the olympia. The olympia makes 16 weeks. I had 7 years off of training, stress was about ready to kill me and I was skinny fat. I'll let the results speak for themselves. My first experience with chuck was him preparing my ex for shows. She got her pro card 1 year after working with him. He works with several pro athletes and bb'ing pro's. One is making her comeback in 3 weeks in figure. She's in unreal shape and doing half the cardio she did before.

People spend 1000's of dollars on supplements to make up for a lack of dedication to diet. I use protein, bcaa's, creatine and a few various things for blood pressure (issue from all the stress I was under). So Jeff might now like my answer and can think what he wishes. I've seen the results with my own eyes. Everyone else can see it in 3-4 weeks. I also don't get the benefit of stimulants, as I JUST got to the point of getting regular blood pressure readings.

a bit about swolecat from anthony roberts, clip from elite

Swolecat wanted to write the nutritional chapter in my book. I think mostly everything he says is useless, so I declined.

If his precontest and diet routine worked so well then why hasn't he ever won a major contest? I mean....it stands to reason that if he knew what he was talking about he'd win something worthwhile, not just small local shows. I'd reccomend that people stay away from him and his advice- and certainly don't ever pay for his "nutritional/Personal-training" services!

For the money he charges you can hire somebody with credentials!

Anthony Roberts is also about as cool as waiting in line for AIDS.

Although I gotta admit his DNP article was hilarious.

So you're telling me, on the internet, there are a bunch of nobodies who throw out a ton of bodybuilding/weightlifting advice but don't follow any of it, have no experience with it, and look like shit? Say it aint so.

While I have no opinion on swolecat (don't even know who he is), I don't think the above is a worthwhile reason NOT to use someone. Regardless of one's knowledge, there are VERY few people that have the genetics to win a major bodybuilding show. Regardless of how much knowledge you have, you can't overcome a genetic flaw.

Very few people on this board will have a 36" standing vertical. No matter how hard they trained, it just ain't going to happen. While some people were born with the ability to do it with no training.
