anyone ever used a repair place online that they could recommend?

I've got an old Yashica FX7 film camera, that i want repaired. I know it'd be cheaper to just buy a new one, but i have some personal attachment to it.

I've heard of Camerarepair.com, anyone use them?

local places (ritz camera etc) won't work on this camera.

    Thanks

I can't see out of the viewfinder, so something is obviously stuck closed and the handle that pushes the film forward to the next frame is stuck as well. (im not sure what its called)

The lens also has a bit of dust in it.

They serviced my Minolta and will be doing my Sony's (authorized service center) if anything goes wrong. Base repair for you camera looks to be ~$135 (without cost of parts). Located in Conneticut.

I know where I work we've had good experiences with them. But really the only reason I remember their name is they sent us cookies this Christmas... lol

I'll double check where we send all of our stuff and try and get back to you today.

Yeah, United Camera. We send quite a few a week there and never really have had a problem with them. Canon/Nikon certified warranty center. Give them a shot.
