they should've done it like in the first and just stick to muay thai. Too much TMA but it's still gonna be an awesome movie.

    What's TMA?

I am skeptical about this one because the protector was garbage. I like how they even tried to change the story line in North America cause we wouldn't "understand" their culture. How fucking hard is to understand an elephant being kidnapped and I'm pretty sure it's common sense with Elephants and their status in Thailand.

I liked the Protector, there was that one fight scene with no cuts which was unreal.

The story line is completely whack, i dont think it has anything to do with Ong Bak 1, unless ong bak means elephant.

The first one was extremely entertaining one of the best action movies ever, but if you enjoyed the first one you'll like the 2nd one too.

The storyline gives you that old school honourable martial feel.

That's pretty much all 3 just different aspects of Thai culture/arts.

Holy shit, in! Just hit Newsgroups in HD like a week ago. I had no idea this was even made! But apparently Ong Bak 2 is like a "prequel" and not sure if it really even has anything to do with Ong Bak 1.

can't really have a movie like this with muay thai as we know it and have it be all theatrical and entertaining. most of it is old school muay boran and mae mai muay thai stuff. still pretty cool.

I fucking loved that movie, i had just finished reading about the Wing Chun Compendium when i hear about the movie.

Really good story line. Good acting. Good history lesson (even though i'm not sure how much is based on a true story).

Donnie Yen makes so many bad ass movies

I saw both SPL on dvd and Flash point at the Toronto Film Festivel i'd highly recommend them. Especially flash point for incorporating more modern mma into film.

It's not that fucking hard to achieve. Hell it's been done a thousand times with good story, like the lone wolf and cub those movies were the shit and had an epic story line. I'm sorry that I don't just watch movies for action, but you must be a huge Michael Bay fan.

A few better Japanese examples would be pretty much any Kurosawa film, always amazing story/action/acting. A strange director who has had a few martial arts films Takeshi Kitano, also has some solid plot.
