So, lets through this situation out here. You have to choose one camera body, one lens, and one accessory (flash, tripod, TC's, tubes, ect) and you have to use that setup for one year and nothing else. Price not being an issue what would you choose?

    Here's mine:

    Canon 1Ds MK III
    Canon 70-200 f2.8 L IS
    Canon 580 EX II

I think that would suit my shooting style pretty well (mainly portraiture).

    What would you choose?

fuck it ive been using a 10D, a 28-105 and a tripod for about a year when i first got into photography

    but heres my wishlist:

canon 5D (cant decide between that or 1Dmk2N)
    24-70f2.8L
    580exII

I think that would suit everything I use my camera for

:dunno:..I think that'd give me most of what I want. I use a 300 now, but the 700 would give me a little more freedom for portrait work due to being full framed.

i cant imagine doing what i do with only one lens. ummm

d700 (need the pop up flash, otherwise d3 would have been my choice)
    24-70G
    sb800

but this would limit me to 50% of my work, so i dunno. I dont think i could do it.

    I agree with OP

    Canon 1Ds MK III
    Canon 70-200 f2.8 L IS
    Canon 580 EX II

Except I'd change out the lens for the 24-70

I'd say the same thing, but I'd need the fps for MX. So I'd take a 1DIII.

I'd thought about that, I'd even thought about just saying 1D MK IV, but thought I'd limit myself to equipment that's out now, that and I think the 21mp would be more useful for the portrait work I do. About the only time I've used the 6.5 fps on my 40d was messing around or during football.
