Discussion in 'Lifestyle' started by coughlin's law, May 18, 2009.

  1. ok, so the venue was set up like absolute crap, they just put him in the corner and that was it -- no additional lights...

    used tamron 17-50 f/2.8 & 430ex

  6. Yeah, this is one of the images from last year that I shot, he was djing for an event, so notice more equipment and the venue was more appropriate...

has DJing really become just creating a big ass playlist?

I actually like that last shot you posted better than the first

I thought from his first photo that he was using something like Serrato but maybe not.

The new DJ style is a laptop running serrato hooked up to two real turntables and records that communicate with the software. Mp3's are loaded onto the turntables in the software and act like the DJ is playing a real record (real-time scratching, mixing, etc)

So instead of carrying crates of records, you carry a laptop and external HD full of Mp3's.

Looks typical to me...why would they put him in the middle of the dance floor and light him up? If anything, it looks more lit than most clubs/bars i've been to.
