1 285hv behind the subject. light on him is just reflected light from the opposing wall which was 8 ft or so away from subject.

seems ever so slightly out of focus... course that could just be me being tired as shit. :sad2:

i like the composition, and the light... just the focus seems... just off. stop down a touch maybe?

He has a supernova erupting from his armpit.

    I like the concept.

    But...

Photo looks soft, shutter speed might be too low, and that highlight under the arm is pretty distracting. I'd also like to see more cards.

:nono: it was still better in color... perhaps up the contrast slightly on the original?

    Original:

Just a quick color burn on the right arm/armpit, and upped the contrast ever so slightly. It took longer for me to open PS than it did to modify the image. My edit:

    :sad2:

I hope not, though I don't see much difference between us telling him how we would improve the shot and showing him how we would.

But, to be fair, I'll make up for it.

Here's a pic of mine that could benefit from adjustments. Do your best/worst OTAP:

To be honest, this was the first time i've used any of the tools in PS to touch up a photograph, beyond levels, curves, contrast/brightness etc...

I like it, but maybe a faster shutter speed to catch the cards more clearly? unless you wanted them to be blurred to show the motion.

the problem with that is that i start hitting the shutter sync speed with the flash.

i'll have to try this one again but i may try to slow the shutter down a bunch to get more blur
