One of my more embarassing gym moments

    I figure you folks could use a laugh. Yesterday I was at the gym and had decided I was going to try to squat for the first time since my accident. I started off very very light just because I wanted to feel out my leg and get the motions down. I have a horrible balance problem because of the nerve damage in it deadens my foot partially. So when i had slightly upped my weight I tried to adjust my foot....and forward I went. Thankfully the catch bars saved the weight :mamoru:

    Cliffs. I suck @ squats but atleast I was doing them :o

    not embarrassing at all.
    at least you're not one of those fuckers who make excuses for not working out at all after an accident/injury.

    Once, I was walking across the gym, looking at a hot chick and WHAM!! I ran right into a piece of equipment!! I bet she thought I was so cool!!! HAHAHA!! :rofl:

    man i did that yesterday and tripped over a decline bench. some old guy was nice enough to help me and not just laugh :o

    Fucking sucks. Some of my favorite boxers right now I can't wear because they're so tight around my thighs. :wtc:

    i tore the entire backside out of my khaki pants during squatting i decided to wear because i didn't bring any gym shorts. luckily i was wearing a long enough shirt to hide it long enough to get out with minimal attention

    Ive split boxers but not shorts. I got lucky I had an extra pair of shorts in my gym bag.

    After i put on a bunch of weight, all my old ones got too tight, I must have blown out 5 or 6 pairs doing DL's, including my lucky ones :wtc:

    On my max squat 5 rep attempts I fail all the time and the weight falls on the safety bars, never seemed to embarassing to me.

    I work out at a NYSC in Midtown NY. I was doing deadlifts with my lifting buddy (good friend I lived with in college for years), and after a set, I jokingly said, "Damn that makes my butt feel good." I look over my shoulder and notice 2 gay guys smiling at me. To make matters worse, my GF was on an elliptical nearby. LOL. :rofl:

    i think my partner has all the ripping/farting/sharting/failing stories beat

    he was doing ME squats on a bench in place of a box, on his second rep while i was turned away, i hear him yelling for help. i look and see him pinned to the bench by the barbell on his head/safety bars. apparently he got out of the groove and fell over and wound up breaking his nose from the impact :o
