weight is down from 184 to 175 as well....

working out 5 days a week, chest, arms, abs one day, back/legs/abs the next light cardio each day with one dedicated HIIT/cardio day

no drinking has probably been the best thing

    Great job.

Why is your body language for the "before" photo more confident?

you are definitely leaner but it also looks like you are pushing down your stomach to make your abs show since your tricep is flexed and your bellybutton is pulled down. Regardless, come back in a few months

i just slowed down on the carbs really.

used to drink juice, eat white rice a lot, eat out often...

now my diet is pretty standard, oats/grain cereal + shake in the morning, small snacks throughout the day (nuts, jerky, cottage cheese), lots of vegetables throughout the day...

Not at UCLA anymore, I was there for 5 years but graduated last year. I worked at Wooden for 3 of them. In all the time I was there I only ran the perimeter like 3 times, I preferred just playing IM sports w/ the frat and working out.

I still do that once in a while to see where I'm at. I've got visible abs without doing it but I like to see how much longer i've got before I can see all of them haha

What ab exercises did you do? That's a significant amount of definition to gain in only one month.

weighted crunches, leg lifts, pull ups, incline crunches with the medicine ball, and cardio...

cardio does wonders for your abs...

Cool. Did you do like 5 sets of 5 for each exercise or..? And diet?

I saw you EC stack so I'm going to pick some up today. The reason for my homo prodding is your before pic looks like me right now almost exactly. 5'11'' 160. Thanks

Sets of ten for my weighted crunches. I think I read it on OT that doing 50 crunches wont get you anywhere, but if you add a lot of resistance and do 10x3 reps, you'll be better off. I usually do 85-90-95% for my reps. A lot of the weight I lost was also in my thighs due to the running, my jeans fit a lot better now, so I wouldn't be too worried about losing weight because you're body weight is pretty good right now.

Also note in my after picture I am cheating as kind otters pointed out, but I do look a lot better. As for the EC stack, be careful. Check the hotfit link in that other post.

My diet is very low carb, I didn't even have carbo-loading days so you couldnt call it TKD. Shakes w/ milk in the AM, Shake w/milk pre wo, shake w/water post w/o, caesin/whey mix before I went to sleep. Sometimes I would merge my AM shake and pre w/o shake. Eat lots of veggies, no multivitamin can replace this.

The most important part was reading the stickies/archives on this forum. It's pretty helpful. Good luck!

progress looks great... curious as to more details on your workout... so you look like this potentially:

mon - light cardio, chest, arms, abs
tue - light cardio, back, legs, abs
    wed - HIIT
thu - light cardio, chest, arms, abs
fri - light cardio, back, legs, abs

    :dunno:
