    Feeling better is not going to happen for a long long time so Im not worried. I am just going to stop eating except for three tiny meals a day and multivitamins. I have no app anyways.

    Then you can be depressed about how scrawny you are! Awesome!!!

    Or....you could adopt a sound exercise routine and help fight your depression by exercising, which naturally helps decrease depression. It's win/win!

    But, you probably want the easy way out...right?

    I've lost 9 pounds since spring break :coold:

    I've actually eaten about 15 real meals since the beginning of this semester. :hsd:

    Yeah I noticed I lost weight also. 10 pounds :( except I was already skinnyish so 10 poudns on me is drastic.

    I am exercising I just dont have the desire for the food right now. I did have two sushi rolls for lunch though.

    Sushi is great for depression. Lots of omega-3s. Eat more things like that and get excersize. If you eat like shit and act like shit (i.e. no excersize) you will feel like shit. Diet and excersize is half the battle when it comes to fighting depression.

    I lost 10 lbs when I was really depressed, I've been better and am now back up to 135 :hs: trying to gain more. :/

    I'm depressed and I definitely am not losing weight; eating is one of the highlights of my day.

    I still hit about 4000 cals per day, but every bight is agonizing.

    Do you recommend taking Omega-3's supplements?

    Im trying to be optimistic but its hard when you have lost someone for a stupid reason and you are never going to get them back. Im just trying to not snack and keep my calories under 1500 right now. 500 calories per meal is plenty.

    I am already heavy so I am not going to add to it by eating, I have to break that cycle.

    I am 6'3" and 280 pounds, losing 80 pounds wouldnt kill me lol.

    I getcha, thats why diet and excersize are only 50% of the equation. The other half is the actual real world problem causing the bad thoughts. But if you get the chemical part of depression sorted out, the other 50% is easier to work on.

    Also diet and excersize go hand in hand. If you excersize a lot, you will be hungry for nutritious food. Nothing wrong with eating few calories and losing weight also, just make sure you are getting enough nutrients.

    I donno about the supplements. I'm a big fan of doing things naturally. If I need vitamins, I eat more veggies and fruits, if I want omega-3s, i eat my smoked salmon and mackerel. If you don't have the time to shop for good food for yourself then supplements might be the way to go.

    you can only healthily lose about 2 lbs a week. any other weight lost is typically just dehydration/water weight.

    also...not eating isn't going to help, your body will think it is starving and slow everything down. but you probably already knew this :)

    If you are depressed about being fat, exercise. It is the reason for being fat in the first place.

    Actually, eating too much is the reason for getting fat. You can sit perfectly still and lose weight, as long as you don't eat anything. Granted, it's not the best way to stay thin after you've lost weight, but it's eating that is directly responsible for weight gain, not lethargy.
