What? Randomly put high performance mains from a 45,000 dollar Euro-beater in a standard run of the mill performance vehicle at prices a regular joe can afford?

    Sounds like somebodies jelous ;)

staged "news" to help increase the value of a shit car.

  9. I'm confused. There are 405hp f-bodies out there now, or they just have the ls6 block, and not the cam and heads?

Well dude, there's a lot going on in the LS6 head that causes the extra HPs that thing makes. Intake and exhaust ports, combustion chamber shape, cam grind, etc.

WTF, why would they only put 25 percent in all F-Body vehicles.

sounds like a shitty thing GM would do. Like shooting fish in a barrel trying to get a LS6.

Well, Im not going to pretend to be an engine expert. However, I would just assume that an LS6 block would already have the advantage over an LS1 block when it comes to modibility. It might also have increased cooling efficiency, which might be good for some extra ponies. I mean, it has to be substantial enough, why didn't they just use the LS1 block in the ZO6 if the difference wasn't that great :dunno:

Then again, Im just going by speculation, thats all.

Problems? Like what? Please elighten us.

Because apparently from what I just posted, they did it due to sheer overproduction.

I've been driving an 01 LS1 Firebird every week. I fucking hate it! :barf:

I drove my Cobra for 2+ hours today just cruising.

My father and brother come up here every Friday in their car, and we all go to my Grand mothers house (dead grand mother), and work on the house. I drive there and back. I don't like the car. I'd rather drive the Civic. :o

Not really. It just like when Ford messed up with the Cobra engines. I think that it's easier to swap different engine part, so that's why this happens.

You'll never hear of some VW owner discovering a turbo or a Honda owner finding out that he has VTEC. Closest thing I know to this is the virtually identical engines in the Altima and Maxima.

Except unlike the 99 Cobras, this isn't just a engine "part".

    Its practically another engine.

I'd rather drive a 6-speed Camaro SS though.
