Have any of you ever tried this? I'm deployed and my ship decided not to serve hard boiled eggs this morning so instead I threw a scoop of Double Rich Choco in with a 1/2 cup of oatmeal and enough water to so it mixed well (had to drain it just a tad) then threw it in the microwave for a minute.

It came out like a f'n cake. Tastes... not awesome, but good. I drizzled a little Smuckers All Natural PB on it and it's fantastic. I would say it most closely resembles the look and consistency of a sponge cake.

Does microwaving Whey have an adversie side effects on the protein? If not I may start donig this every morning Mmmmmmm

I've actually mixed mine in after cooking the oatmeal. I don't think it's good to cook the protein. Wasn't real fond of the taste though. I'd rather just eat the oatmeal and pound a shake.

I do this every day pre workout. Its awesome once you get the whey/oatmeal/water ratio right. Mixing up before putting it in the microwave helps too.

I noticed it seems to fill you up better too. Probably because it becomes more of a solid than a liquid after it's microwaved.

put the protein in after, be sure to let it cool off too.

the heat fucks with the whey

I've been using my cinnamon bun whey for this, mixing a scoop in after cooking. It's amazing

i guess ive been killing myself slowly for the past year. whatever, seems to work fine. what does it do to the whey anyway? Does it break down the protein on a molecular level?

same difference as a cooked/uncooked egg.

it won't absorb as well. kinda destroys the purpose of having an isolate..

nuke 1 cup of old fashioned oats with just enough water

it comes out in the consistency you're talking of, then top with a scoop of whey and mix it in

same results, no nuking the whey

So uncooked eggs are better or worse? I eat them daily and it would suck to find out that they aint getting absorbed efficiently
