    took me forever to figure out what all the shit/specs meant; then how to compare them; then to see what was compatible with my machine; then to hunt for best prices

    P.S. My buddy (who's one of those "latest & greatest" nerds) just got one of those boards with like 3x ePCI 16 slots or whatever and 3 x2 (or sli) cards :ugh:..

    has 2x 850w PS's, etc... he was showing me MS-Flight-X, and COD4, etc..

    yeah. same as mine :mamoru:

    great site - i used their charts/comparisons to figure out the top 5 or so cards then looked at each one closely to make my final decision
    also andatech.com is good

    nice card u got - my comp is too weak to even use it lol

    and ur buddy's cards are insane; i only have 350w for my psu lol

    Had to buy a new vid card a while ago. Got a deal on a a decent card. If I could do it again I'd make sure to look into how loud it is first.

    A good video card for the money right now is an ATI HD 4850. Got mine for $149 last month.

    Also another good site for reviews and forums on computer stuff is www.anandtech.com
