im having so much frickin trouble with my friend's SLVR. shes got some songs in her memory card (miniXD i think) but there is no option to apply songs in the card as a ringtone. i THINK i have to move it to the phone memory, cept the phone memory is only like 6 MB, which is completely useless. am i missing something?? is there a way to use songs in memory card as ringtones?? if not, WHY THE FUCK NOT?????

btw i did read the manual and there is absolutely no mention of the phone NOT being able to apply songs from memory card as a ringtone

    i hate this phone

I thought I read they have to be in the phone memory but that doesn't seem right if it's only 6mb.

Personally, I want my next phone to be a flip phone so I haven't paid much attention to the slvr

they need to be 30 second clips, NOT the entire song....PM if you want a TON of ringtones for free.

    Another reality apparently
Thats what I like to hear, because that is what I just picked up.

I have had several motorola's over the last few years and they have all sucked.

So far im liking this w600i ALOT, just need to give it some time before I can really give a good review.

only problem I've had is it will lock up sometimes after unplugging the headset when listening to the FM radio. Battery life is  though thats for sure

Yep, most carriers lock out setting mp3's on external memory as ringtones thinking they will force you to download and pay for them all.
    Alltel does not do this.

its just like your phone book, you cant apply a ringtone for it unless the number and ringtone is on the phones memory.
