I was curious if there had been anymore developments on this gun? I'd like to purchase one, but I can't seem to find where they are located online to obtain some further information. Anyone have the inside scoop? :eek4::hs:

    Thanks in advance

Edit: I meant Professional Arms.. It won't let me edit my thread title.

It's Professional Arms, which is why you probbaly couldnt find it.

    http://www.professional-arms.com/

I know a couple of the guys working on it now, the last time I shot it was almost a year ago. I'm hoping to have another go in the next month or so though. I've shot 9mm, .40, and .45 out of it and all of 'em ran great. The owner, Andrew, is a great guy and I'm sure he wants everything to be 100% before he puts it out. The price is going to be a bit higher than other MP5 clones but IMO it will be worth it.

Last I heard they had some LEO contracts keeping them busy, but I'm hoping they will be out for the civilian market this year. I'll see if I can get a release date and get back to ya.

Keesh, thank you for the quick reply.

In the meantime, do you have any other info you would like to steer someone in the direction of a full-auto clone? I'm looking to purchase something similar to the MK5, without the M"P"5 price.

    Thanks again

Well, .22LR GSGs are around $500. There is still a pretty high demand for them now but I've seen a couple for sale in the last week for ~$525 with a mag or two.

Vulcan, Bobcat, an Vector all make HK clones, but I would steer clear of Vulcan or Bobcat if posible.

You can take a look at what some of these look like here:

I'd really like something as close to the mp5 as possible, chambered in 9mm if I could. I figured the MK is a great compromise of everything.

Oh, and I forgot to mention I'd like something full-auto :)

This will be my first class 3 goodie.

Well, if you want full auto, the MK5 is out unless you have your 07/SOT. You're going to have to drop a lot of cash for a registered sear.

    http://www.impactguns.com/store/MGT-MP5K.html

MAC-10/11s or Uzis are a bit cheaper to get into the full auto game. ~$3000 and ~$7000 respectivly.

I know a bit about the others like you've suggested. This MK5 attracted me because of the price tag :)

    Maybe I'll build an AR15...

Not sure if you're aware, but as a civilian, you can't buy machineguns made after 1986. That is why MGs are so expensive, because there are only a certain amount of them in the country. The MK5 will only be available in semi-auto for civillians.

Damn, for some stupid reason I figured the MK5 would be different.

    AR15 it is :)

    I really appreciate the advice.

That's the MP5-K. MK5 is a MP5/UMP clone which can change between just about every pistol caliber, I think they have 10 calibers in development so far.

Legally, they can only sell semiauto to civilians.
