I have a MBP from June 2007 with the Nvidia 8600m GT card that's been failing. Appointment for the apple store is Saturday but I'm going to call tomorrow to see whats up. The extended warranty is only covering bad nvidia chips but I see a lot of people on the boards getting the same video errors and being denied a free repair because the diagnostics at apple store said it was the logic board.

    Fingers crossed time :hs:

$310 to replace logic board, super drive and maybe HD if it's corrupt.

No but apple care is like $350 anyway and my computer is nearing the 3 year mark.
