    Guy in NYC wants pistol without pain in the ass to obtain permit or registration.

    NYC law allows permit free and unregistered purchase of blackpowder revolvers as long as you pinky swear to never load them.

    Guy buys blackpowder revolvers.

    People from New York (and the northern half of New Jersey) think that New York is the only place that really matters. When I went to college in NJ, half the conversations I heard on Fridays were about who's going clubbing in NY, and there's a new play in NY, and the Macy's in NY is having a sale, and and and and....

    Yes, moving somewhere else would be much easier, but the people you're talking about don't think rationally about this topic. Don't apply logic and reason where none exists.

    Good article, though. It would be kinda cool to be packing a Derringer -- but not against someone with an H&K who really wants my wallet.
