A&P Okay, with all of the complaining on here, I find the 50mm focal length excellent.

Who's complaining? I think it's a great length for both FF and crop.

it CAN be an awkward focal length, but not always. just depends on the situation.

It's a good "portrait" FL for croppers. But someone wanting a "normal" FL is going to want something wider.

haha. I just expose the sensor in the direction I want and it does everything for me. the 85 1.2 is just for show.

nice effect on the eyes, though the whole pic overall feels a little overcooked to me, bokeh is a touch harsh/distracting too.

I'd like the 50mm focal length a lot more on both crop and FF if it was only a little closer focusing... but I guess thats what I got the 60mm macro for.

that being said, I'm not enjoying my PP overall, i was just messing around with that technique on the eyes, here's a more mellowed out version of the same photo...

Tried to smooth out the bokeh and bring the saturation down a bit too..

the key with focal length, i believe, is versatility. having just a 50mm wouldnt be very versatile

50mm is a pretty usable focal length in regards to subjective photos, if I need to go wider (which I often do) I pull out my 18-55 kit lens :(
