NOTHING EXCITING AT ALL ... just pretty damn fun messing around with everything, though. i really like shooting in manual, and this brings a whole new aspect of confusion into it, which is great.

ZERO processing done on any of these, other than flickr's resize.

wife was snoozing on the couch watching TV, so the obvious subject is her gay dog

setup: (if i were cool yet, i'd say "Strobist:")

i thought these turned out pretty well for my first shot

i think this is my favorite so far. lots of complex angles, curves, etc ... i could have done better, but i think it looks pretty damn good right out of the camera.

what's a "muslin" background ... is that fabric? are those a lot more expensive?

why get that over (or not) a paper seamless white background? :dunno:

I just got my sales tax permit in the mail... which means I can walk into a camera shop in town and not have to pay sales tax. And if their prices are same as B&H, I save money on shipping too. :noes:

I've decided portrait, family, and other "sessions" are going to be a fixed price. That would include about 2 hours of shooting, editing, and high res pics on a CD. I hate people that have "sitting fees", "standing fees", location fees, etc. fuck that shit... just give me an upfront price and lets get the shit on. :dunno:
