I just pick this up about a month ago. Very happy with it. I also put a Deposit down on the new M3 coming out. So not going to really mod this car expect for little things. (Tuner subframe kit, ZHP stuff, maybe wheels when I need tires)

Not a fan of the convertables but looks clean nonetheless.

I hate the exhaust note of the e46 M3 :( My e36 M3 with UUC exhaust sounds so much better... The rasp is what drives me nuts about the e46...

  5. My mom has a 325ci I wish she had got an m3 haha. It wouldn't matter either way because she doesn't even let me drive this one :o

Ya it's not like she needs the performance and it's still a tight little car IMHO

No way, it's widely agreed that the stock e46 exhaust is one of the worst sounding beasts ever. But as long as you like it it's all that matters :p

    i dont know about that.

Its agreed upon by guys who like "intake" and "exhaust" sounds. Agreed upon by the same people who like the e36 m3's "sound"(or lack there of).

The mechanical sound of the e46 is wonderful. Almost as nice as the e30 :mamoru:

obviously that most of our local CCA members are not up to standards

anyway who gives a shit, opinion are subjective. can't take away from the fact that the e46 M3 is a wonderful car.

  12. Basically. She wouldn't have used the 333hp anyways.

Ya not to mention the hard ride expensive up keep. Heck I was not so balls hard on performance I would have gotten a 325i.

I have to say at first I did not like it. It ticks at stop lights but then after driving it and figuring out the car and finding the sweet spots when to shift it really dose sound good. The motor is like a fine swiss watch. The rasp is very cool it don't sound like a shit box honda but like a tuned NA race car. Maybe It sounds better as a vert vs a coupe?

I was thinking of ordering a AA exhaust just to make it abit louder. But 1200 bucks for a fucken muffler? Also Magnaflow has a whole cat back for 800 bucks. I don't know what todo yet? I'm not going to dump money into this car because I have the new one on order with 400hp+. I rather just keep both cars mostly stock I think.

I feel ya, nothing wrong with that. I am not too familiar with e46 offerings. I have a UUC on my e36 and it sounds very mean in addition with the AFE intake.

I always had the AA exhaust on my E36s. With the ECIS intakes. My 99 was the lightly tuned one. AA exhaust, Front and rear baces, Xbrace, ECIS intake, AA software and shocks.

It looks like a girl car. Whatever happened to BMW using masculine shapes?

Nice ride. I just got rid of my 04. Traded it on a CLK63 last month. Mine was silver, black interior, 6spd, NAV, xenons, etc... I loved that car. It had a lot (and I mean A LOT) of problems up to about 35K miles. Funny, as soon as I stopped taking to to a particular dealership, the problems magically stopped...
