I have a monster cable 6 channel (two sub channels- could use one for sub and the other for center??) micro xln rca cable. Only problem is that it is 5 meters long. It sells for $100 in stores and the best I would be able to do on ebay is probably $50. I was thinking of using it for my yamaha dvd-c940 dvd changer to connect to my yamaha htr-5660 reciever for when I decide to start buying SACDs. I have a bunch of cheapo rca cables lying around the house which would probably do the trick as well, but I have a crap load of other electronics near the reciever and cd player like scanner, printer, tv, vcr, print server, & usb hub. I dont know if cables which reject noise will be needed or not.

It'll work just fine. Have fun.

I doubt the other electronics will cause a noise issue. However, the Monster cable probably does have better sheilding, so you might as well use them if you have them.

You can always try each and see if it makes any difference.
