i have "glossy" display on one of my laptops, and the glare is horrible. I actually liked the old display Apple had/has on hte MBP's :(

    Do these have DDR2?

I think I'm about to order one :eek5:

If you want maximum performance you wouldn't be looking at a MacBook though would you? For general life stuff, I'm sure its fine. It's competitively priced against standard laptops too. :bigthumb:

I don't know, I don't like that graphics chip, so I might wait till x-mas to buy mine. I just got rid of of my old P.O.S. iBook. dam thing broke down too many times for me. I'll probably get that with a new widescreen ipod

will bootcamp work for this? or would you need to wait for a firmware update first?

    sweeeeeeeeet.

I think im buying that 2.0ghz white one, I dont even like the black one and its 200 more for an extra 20gb harddrive. $140 more for the fucking plastic since the 20gb upgrade is $60.

I just need to make some money first :)

wow, those pictures are nice. I was expecting the glossy plastic that the old iBooks had...might have to look into this more. Too bad its 200 bucks more for black.

I am very tempted to sell my iBook and 360 right now to fund one.

However I know if I have some patince I can get one by mid summer, so I'll be waiting.

Anyone know if it can support a seccond display (and not have it mirror, like the iBooks)?

    From Tech Specs:

Extended desktop and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 1920 x 1200 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors

People are hating on the GMA950 graphics, but it's a consumer notebook. These machines still won't have any problems with minor video editing (even in HD), and anything else. It should play WoW ok as well, not GREAT, but that's what the MBP/iMac are for.

The glossy screen is like the Sony XBRITE or the Dell TrueLife displays.
