Ok I rarely play games and the ones I do play usually come out on Mac also.

My PC is used for Audio/video backup and web.

I loved my PC when I had the time to mess with it and keep it up to date but now I just want a solid machine that works. Is Mac the way to go for a desktop?

Sounds like you're a perfect candidate for Macdom. :)

that's pretty much why I "switched". I've been pretty happy with the decision. My only complaint is when I go back to using a windows machine it makes me feel dirty. Whenever I go on a windows machine, I feel like the only point to using it over my mac is updating virus and spyware defs, look for updates and then finally defrag the thing. I do those things everytime I use my windows partition on my x86 box at home, or when I'm at work. It's just instinctive I guess. I blame Apple for spoiling me.
