I've been carrying with a cheapo Uncle Mikes IWB holster for now until i can decide which way i want to go...but no more! I cant stand it any longer. The thing is uncomfortable, digs into my hip, and bruises which makes everything worse. Although it does conceal fairly well...not great but concealed nonetheless.

Here's my problem...i cant decide whether to go IWB or OWB, and even which holster to go with either way. I have had several recommendations for Milt Sparks and Comptac. I was looking at maybe the MTAC for IWB...or the Sparks 55BN for OWB. Thing is, i will need to carry a Glock 22 at times, and at others a 27...so using the same holster for both would be a plus. I realize both would fit a holster made for the 22, but i need to be able to conceal the 22 with whichever holster i go with.

I am also slightly concerned with the comfort of an IWB holster. I'm sure that not all are as uncomfortable as the Uncle Mikes, but are any of them really comfortable at all?

I need any info and recommendations you guys can throw at me, i plan to order something this weekend.

I am very happy with the Crossbreed IWB holster I have for my Sig P229. Sprung for the combat grip cut and the horsehide leather. :coold:

What belt are you using? I've got the wilderness 3-stitch and it is great.

Belt is just a really stiff cheapo at this point...was looking at one of the 5.11 belts as they are inexpensive and i can actually go about 80 miles and get one/try it on.

I wouldnt spend my money on an OWB holster in texas. How do you plan to conceal in the summertime?

I use Comp-tac Mtac, so does my roommate and
I just bought one for my brother.

Any major differences in the Tucker, MTAC, or Crossbreed? They all look similar in design...quality im sure differs, but so does the price.

    In order of quality:
    1) Tucker
    2) MTAC
    3) Crossbreed. As best as I can figure out, anyway.

Seems like a good ranking to me. The workmanship on the crossbreed seems so crappy, I think its way overpriced.

I'm leaning MTAC at this point. There is quite a bit of adjustability built in right? My understanding is the standard clips are the best ones, correct?

Next question...if i plan to carry a Glock 22, and 27 in the same holster...would i be better to get the G22 model or the Slide version?

I like my FIST #19 a lot. Very comfortable and adjustable for me anyway. I never liked Kydex holsters that much, but if you need one now, something from CompTac will arrive a lot faster than a custom leather one.

I prefer the C-clips only because I think they are less visible to people when your shirt is tucked in.

My M-tac is pretty good. I can get away with a T-shirt and shorts with it.
