    To get tone, is a different story. That's when you'll start doing higher reps, but I would still never do over 12 reps on any exercise.

    i do think that when natural and not genetically amazing you have to have some sets going heavier than 12 reps.

    but guy is a moron, most "bodybuilders" do higher reps and volume.. most TOP bodybuilders do something like

    set of 12 as heavy as possible
    set of 10 as heavy as possible
    set of 8-10
    set of 6-8

    some bb'rs will hit 2-4 reps like ronnie, branch warren, johnnie jackson, etc.. but its ALWAYS at the last set and is only done after sufficient volume is done

    edit: I never personally do more than 12 or so reps, I don't feel like it works well for me to do more.

    fuck now i have to go back to the gym! I just found out that pur's routine is crap, this sensation i have of barely being able to walk after leg day must be a lie! i want to get tone anyway, i should have been doing 30x10... all this time wasted.
