I don't want to go all out, just something that sounds nice for a decent price.
I am looking into Infinity Kappa products(had them in my old civic and they sounded nice) or possibly even Alpine products for the speakers.

    For Infinity
    It would be
Either Kappa or Kappa Perfect comppnent system(kappa perfect pictured)
    link to regular Kappa

    KAPPA PERFECT6.1

    or

    and for the rear
    Either

    KAPPA692.5I
    6 x 9 2-way multielement loudspeaker pair

    or
    KAPPA693.5I

    For Alpine
With the Alpine I am thinking about for the front

The only reason I would go with the 2nd one is because my car did not come with tweeter locations and I do not want to deal with the hassle of adding them in.

I really want a 3 way speaker but alpine does not have one in this model

For the Amp I want to run these(since I will be using my Alpine CDA 7995 which has no internal amp)
    MRV-F340 4/3/2 Channel Power Amplifier V12
    [IMG]

    Or

    MRV-F450
    5/4/3 Channel Power Amplifier

See, I am not sure if I should go with the 5 channel since I will be getting bass, o go with the 4 channle and then get a mono amp for the subs

Also any recommendations other than these will be considered. For example if there is a JL amp that is better than the Alpine for comprible price mention it. Subs will come later but they will be JL products.

alpine speakers are kinda lacking in the midbass area, where infinity doesn't. the alpines tend to last longer in my area's climate though, because the infinity cones become brittle. IMO 3(or more)way coax's are gimmicky, stick with a good 2 way if you go coax. sometimes it's just best to go with a good set of comps up front, and a sub(less is more). if you're stuck on using rear fill though, i'd just power it off the headunit and amp your fronts and sub(s). if space is no problem, i'd get a 2channel and a mono block. alpine amps are good rock solid amps, very reliable(you have to be stoopid, or trying to kill them... to hurt them.).

thing is I have to amp ALL the speakers, the Alpine CDA 7995 Has no internal amp and requires external amps. I already have the head unit(have had it for quite sometime)

I Think I am oing with either 2 10's or a single 12 JL in a custom box(might do two 12's but that might be over kill)

I have JL XR components, and I have been very pleased with them, although the VR has a soft dome tweeter, and mine has hard dome. I have heard the VR speakers and they sound good too.
