Ok after my first shoot i have realized that when shooting something as reflective as a black car, you need to know how to project reflections into the car vs trying to control the reflection.... this is what i have learned.... let me know if i did better.

oh btw the reason we didnt shoot any more angles, is because of damage to teh rear of his car

    Day and night difference. Nice.

So, can you summarize for use what you have learnt?

your resizing or hdr or whatever appears to be killing the edges

i think its the compression. because i just opened up the psd from the edit and it doesnt have those weird dark corners. or those weird aliased edges.

BTW: the way i got teh car mooth is shoot at a nicer time, and also did a true hdr image. 5 raw images, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2. bracketing. and then used a cp filter. and just waited.

Much better! The background was my complaint last time and you did a good job fixing it. I personally think you need the light the car up a tad more and kill the ambient while doing so. Or even shoot the car with a much lower F-stop or something. To me the focus of most is not the car. It's just does not stand out as being the most important thing in the photo.

:werd: that is what I meant I suppose. I just see not clear purpose of the photos. The technical skills are clearly there..exposure etc, now make the photo mean something.

I would back off the subject . Theres an amazing background back there . Incorporate the surroundings and make the most of it . Try to pretend you are shooting a landscape and then add in the subject according .

That sounds like it makes no sense but , its what I try to think of when I'm shooting . I know nothing though. Take it with a grain of salt : p. The lines are a lot better though . I enjoy the lighting and time of day for this .
