i reinstalled windows XP Pro on my computer.....i then had to disconnect the IDE cable to move it.....when i plugged the cable back into the HD and tried to start up i get "Unable to Load OS" error messages
i've reloaded the MBR and boot sector twice to no avail.....the computer starts up when i use a boot disk (Ntldr, etc.)
what can i do to start up without the floppy ?

Check that the disk is set as the first boot device in your BIOS.

    Outside of that, re-install XP.

yeah you must have plugged the ide cables in wrong. the hard way to change it would be to boot off a disk and edit your boot.ini to the new ide setting. otherwise play with your cable settings to get it back to where it was when you installed it
