Were you upgrading an old install of Windows?

So when you try and boot now, where does it fail and what happens?

    :eek3:

I have a similarly weird problem - I have been unable to install XP on my desktop - I have tried numerous times and it always dies sometime during install - I hear XP setup is REALLY touchy with memory, maybe you have a slight problem?

Go to Microsoft's website and look up that error code. You'd be surprised how many problems they've solved already.
