    My image:

    t-shirt used at ZDayZ 2008
    http://asianguywithacamera.com/temp/zshirt01.JPG (car is mirrored)

No permission requested to either myself or the owner of the Z (who hired me for the shoot).

How far should I take this? The only downside to squeezing them for all they are worth is that I don't want to ruin the Z owner's reputation within the Z community. The last time one of my images was used without permission in an advertisement, it was easy to milk the cow since I could care less about the company that used it. This is a more touchy situation.

Do you know who made the tshirts? If so, maybe send them an email or give them a call and ask them what's up.

It's entirely possible that they had someone else make the shirt and that person just grabbed some random pics off a forum or something and used them.

Yeah, I'm waiting for their response.

They blatantly stole the photo and tried to act dumb about it stating that the cars that are on the shirts are from the event the year prior.

Haha itd almost be believable if the cars didnt match up PERFECTLY. Even the position of the wheels are the exact same. They obviously sent in that picture to have the shirts made from.

It's pretty easy to tell that it's my image not just because of how the image matches but because of the intercooler vents. The car is one of two Aztec Red 2+2 twin turbo Zs in the US that has the front bumper IC slits cut like that. Most that do the non turbo to twin turbo swap buy a stock twin turbo front clip but this owner cut out the non turbo bumper and installed a mesh grille.

They could still have just drawn it after one. That doesnt make it illegal. I find it hard to defend when you see how the rims are the exact same style and are rotated by the exact same degree.

Obviously you hosted it somewhere where the public had access to it, good luck "fighting" it. I would just request a few shirts, be flattered and add it to your portfolio.

Rape their ass, most my income this year is through this sort copyright infringement shit.

Hard part is finding when/where/what/how people have used your images.
