    I have been neglecting my situps for a long time. I'm not fat at all, but I can't go past crunch position without something on my feet! Not good.

    I went from being able to doing 7 situps to doing 110+ situps in about 5 months, it's not difficult at all as long as you're working out every single week.

    Do ab work (incline weighted situps, weighted balls, roman chair, etc. etc.) twice a week and then just give yourself a 2 minute situp test once a week and you'll be guaranteed to get 100+ as long as you're not a fat body.

    Not necessarily a straight back but the upper body must go forward to or beyond the vertical position. You don't have to keep the back perfectly straight at all. The vertical positon means that the base of your neck is above the base of your spine. The best way to improve your sit-ups is to just do them. Lots of them. And throw some flutter kicks and crunches in there too.

    I hated our DS's when I started WTC for smoking the fuck out of us. But after a couple of weeks I was like "yeah! bring it on!" because there was such a solid improvement directly related to how often/brutal we got smoked. :coold:

    UPDATE: I can now do 20 unassisted situps, from lying flat to fully upright.

    I hope it isn't bad that my back pops every time I go back down.

    There should be no popping sounds in a properly done sit up.

    To be honest, i'd go see a doctor ASAP...any popping with the back can not be good.
