Should I have my hands basically inline with my shoulders or have a more wider grip? Finally my wrists dont hurt after wearing the APT's.

the narrower i hold the stronger I get :o

I usually have my middle finger on the first fake ring... like halfway between the smooth/first real ring

I figured you should grip where your forearms remain perpendicular to the floor for most of the lift. If you're not just trying to hit more side delts and less anterior. :dunno: In for the answer.

I've always been told a good bit closer than your regular bench grip. Actually a guy who can military press 405+ told me that. So I listened.

I have my hands lined up with my shoulders for the most part.

I usualy do pinkies or ring fingers on the ring.... Basically my inside fingers (index) lines up with the edge of my delts.

Just outside shoulder-width I guess :dunno: Anything wider or narrower hurts the old shoulders/wrists.

I put ring fingers about an inch out from the smooth part in the center. About same as close grip bench. Is there a stronger area? I can't seem to get the bar on my shoulders unless I put it this close.

I get it to where my elbows can get under the bar - perpendicular as Timber said or slightly in front. So wherever that is for you..
