Fuck, at least wait for the Aura to come out before you take a shot at the big guy. The Impala isn't even technically in the same class.

The hard part is that they're so big that it takes 5 years for them to implement a new idea. I see Chrysler and they get an idea and it's implemented in 2 years due to their MB connection. GM takes waaaay longer.

the new camry looks good to me. the new impala is meh. i think they should redesign the impala to look like the older ones.

Perhaps before attacking a competitor's product, GM should make sure they have a superior one.

the new impala is nice, but the styling isn't that hot.

the malibu is closer competition to the camry than the impala is, at least engine wise.

They aren't worried about losing truck sales w/ a RWD v8 Impala SS. They made one before and it didn't affect truck sales. Those are 2 completely different buying categories.

True, I see the Imapala as sort of a cheap Avalon with more engine options.

the problem with GM is they lose their focus with their cheaper models. the malibu should be going after the camry and mazda 6 by being a sportier model and having great fuel economy instead of looking like they designed it on the frame of a 1993 corsica

the cobalt sedan doesn't look like corolla competition, it looks like suzuki forenza competition.

it will be at least a couple more car generations before buyers start to get over the perceived GM quality deficiency problem.

well, that's more like the buick lucerne

they should just end the impala and use the lucerne, it's a much nicer looking car with more interior space.

the impala has almost no rear seat headroom and it looks like a retarded accord :ugh:

The Malibu was such a disappointment. Lots of features, great price, tons of options, fugly BUTT UGLY design. Totally dropped the ball on that one. GM should have just made the Malibu like that for fleets and then come out with something new and said "haha, j/k, you didn't really think that was gonna be our new Malibu right? gg."

The Impala is the best selling car GM makes. :hsugh: It's very capable really.

if they market the lucerne right they could go after the camry, avalon, altima and maxima, but they will fuck it up. making such a nice looking car a buick pretty much blows their chances right out of the gate

oh, it's capable. i like the impala. i just think GM is making too many cars, imo.

they're selling the impala which directly competes with the buick allure/lacrosse, which imo is a much nicer looking car.

Yeah I noticed that, which is why I said technically. But I'm sure Toyota still wants to call it a midsize so that people will think they are getting efficiency.

but not engine wise. GM should at least put one of their better I4s in a cheaped out impala base model or something just to combat the camry's I4, or start working on hybrids ffs. :ugh:
