meh I looked at the bushnell and it just re-inforced that I wanted the real eotech. The eotech is built much stronger.

for a HD or CQB rifle, I would absolutely run a eotech over an aimpoint.

the only controls I need are on/off. Adjustment are easy at the range, otherwise I want to set-it and forget-it.

Turning it on is a simple button.

As for battery life I don't know what you demand from your scope... I have a EOTech 552 which gives 1,000 hours. 1,000 hours is over 41 days! That's a damn long time. Granted the aimpoint will go longer but who cares?

After using both I can't say you're "wrong" by going with the aimpoint.... But for me it was a simple choice to go with the eotech.

EO's reticle is larger but still open, so its (marginally, of course) faster. Especially in close.

If I were in a warzone, I'd definitely go with the Aimpoint for the year long, always on battery life, but for a civilian/police application where needing more than a few hours at a time is unlikely to near improbable, I prefer the EO's sight picture.

Who said I had an aimpoint :)

I wear contacts and the aimpoint is more clear, at times, than the eotech, owing to the differences in how the dot is projected. The brightness of the aimpoint is more quickly and easily adjusted. But the eotech is built like a brick shithouse and I prefer the way they mount. Like I said, it's arguable :)

Did you know that the 65moa ring in the eotech is the height of a man at 100 yards?

I wear contact lenses as well. The eotech is very clear for me. According to the manual it does vary from person to person.

yea the ring is 65moa, so it should be around 5.5ft at 100yd so that's a bit less than the average man.
