2x1GB for $150 shipped next day. not too bad for ram with a 1 year warranty.
Isn't lifetime warranty pretty standard on RAM these days?
Macbook Pros don't need dual channel, right? So since mine came with a single 1 GB stick I can just buy another 1 GB stick and it'll work fine, correct?
I don't think so. lifetime was like $30 more.
I got it from www.datamem.com
somebody in the mac shack posted it a couple of months ago.
lols i got lifetime for no charge via crucial. good thing too, cuz one of my sticks went bad a little bit after a year and crucial replaced both of the sticks
i added the 2 gb on my Macbook and now it's faster than my iMac
OWC RAM seems to be working quite well in my MBP. I've always been leary of generic RAM. I've always used Mushkin or Corsair in my desktops. I decided to go with OWC. I've never heard of them, but I'm new to the mac community and many who have been here a while trust them. So far so good
I installed it today and it's working great. It's crazy how noticable the difference is.
Which speed of RAM does a MBP need?
I have a macbook but I think MBPs take the same PC2-5300 as the macbooks.
