Cabela's had a few of these in stock I was told. Paid way more than I wanted to for it, but that's ok with me since my parents decided to cover at least half of the cost as a graduation present. Given that and what I paid, I'm happy to have gotten the gun today instead of waiting a week. Plan to go to the range tomorrow and put 100 rounds through it. Can't fucking wait.

I'm tempted to get a tactical light for it :mamoru:
Would that mess with the gun's fit into a holster?

Anyways, I'll probably update this thread tomorrow with a newb range report (first time going to the range to shoot a handgun that I OWN!)

    lol wut?

I'm rather libertarian, but not all that liberal. If anything, I'm a centrist because I think there are multiple right answers to the problems we face :o

But no, I'd not say I'm liberal or one who's for gun control or anything :dunno:

Jesus, that barrel's almost long enough to need a vertical grip!

yeah, a terrible shot and weak wrist :mamoru:

I compared my 17L to my friend's 22 and I definitely like how much lighter the barrel feels and how the gun feels more balanced weight wise. I'm definitely excited about tomorrow

A newb with a non compensated 6" barrel should look like an MP5 pattern

The 17L is on my short list. Would love to have one of those then skeletonize the slide so it cycles faster. Would make a great iron sighted steel plate gun.

Extra mass, long sight radius, and higher fps should make a soft and accurate shooting gun. Awesome platform for a 9mm tack driver once modded up.

I'm probably going to the Terrebonne Parish Sherriff's Office (TPSO)'s range. It's maybe a 7 minute drive from my house.

What's up with some of those ranges that people mention on your forum? What kind of prices do you have to pay to shoot there? The TSPO Range isn't too bad, but the Sgt. that always seems to be monitoring the range can be an ass or sorts :o

I seriously think the guy needs some patrol time or something

Who cares what it looks like. It's a tool. Do people say may you got a ugly crowbar. It's a fucking crowbar.

One of my pet peeves are people who have these pretty guns then freak if they scratch it. My (insert gun) has a scatch on the blueing. Where do I have it refinished. It's a tool, if your afraid to scratch it then you will not treat it as a tool. You may hesitate using it as a hammer or a long range power drill. Don't be gay

I do and I would say a metric fuckton of other people who try to improve the look, or in a design make it look appealing. The aftermarket clearly shows a good majority of people care about the look. Maybe not so many Glocks, but others for sure.

This is true but it does not mean it is right or should be encouraged.
