awesome! so it is bumping up everything for video?

Sweet. Now we just need audio control for the 7D, too.
Not being a video guy, can I ask how shutter priority AE is helpful when shooting video? What does the shutter speed have anything to do with video?
Also, what the hell does better lens/body communication mean when using manual sensor cleaning? When I clean a sensor, there isnt any lens on the body.
Can someone explain those to me?
Its already coming installed on some cameras
No clue on the lens communication? I think that usually means that the EXIF will recognize more lenses for tagging and sorting.
On the shutter speed, it's just like still photography. Sure, you are making a movie, but that movie is still just 20-something stills. Most people stick to what's called the 180-degree rule (yes, there are many) that applies to using a shutter speed that is exactly double the frame rate e.g., 24P @ 1/48th or 60P @ 1/120th. But since most VDSLRs only do 1/3 stops you are usually doing 24P @ 1/50th or 60P @ 1/125th and so on. Doing this reducing shudder when panning or tracking a moving subject which happens with a slow shutter.
Ok, I just didnt think that it would really make difference, to change that, the camera would just use the fastest shutter it could for the appropriate frame rate in order to not have blur. I guess I learn something all the time, thanks.
As to the lens thing, it specifically says it while using manual sensor cleaning, that just doesnt make sense to me at all.
they got rid of 30fps?
i can't wait
fuck yeah, ppl always complained about the auto gain control with audio!
no more h4n!
I wish the firmware would fix the fing low-light autofocus issues though
What? No 30p? I never use it, but some people do ... on purpose.
im hoping its because he has it set to PAL, not NTSC or something?
the update says 30fps becomes 29.997
but i dunno
Fuck im behind on my firmware, 1.1.0 haha
