I'm not an authority on drawings for sure, but looks good to me. Especially thinking it up and doing it. I've never had that kind of vision, I'm way to technical.

Pictures... most of them are behind glass. They look a lot better in person. You know, when the background is actually white

Well, thank you. This was always just a hobby of mine, but I am considering showing some of my stuff. Just not sure if I will get laughed at or not. Hence, bring it to ot to judge.

Those are cool. My younger brother used to draw stuff like that when we were kids.

Hard to judge drawings harshly. I'm sure there's some technical stuff that would be argued by an art instructor or something, but art is way more than technical.

Nice work and maybe we can help you take brighter pictures of them? What are you using and doing? You said behind glass so that makes flash harder to do. Probably just need to take them in a brighter location.

From the technical aspect, I am pretty much self taught. Got some pencils, and figured it out. These drawings are all done in B leads. Everything from b to 9b. If you have suggestions, please let me hear them. I am actually looking for constructive critism. Honestly, its great to hear praise, but its hard to learn from it.

I can try to get some other pics, but some of these arent around anymore... been given to family and friends. And I dont use a flash... the paper that I use is 100lb white bristo, so it reflects way too much. Its better to just put the camera on a tripod and try to be patient.

It was a bad joke :hsd:

Great drawings man, you've got a great skill there. I wish I could offer some criticism, but from what I can see you're perspective looks good and the characters are well proportioned.

    Ah.

Well, thanks. Cant take all the credit for teh perspective though... I use pictures for some of the reference points (where the jaw points are, the corners of the eyes... stuff like that).

Here is a couple more that I had... but I think this is about it.

Self taught is the best way IMHO. The praise is so you keep working at it and show more and improve.

I can't tell if its just the light or not, but more muscle structure and shading for the skin tones would add a lot. You were doing it in the last one with the Shapely women with the veil (yum love the shapely ones )

I have a buddy who I met playing online games who was recently going to graphics arts school and they spent an entire month or so drawing the skeletal structure of a human then progressed over the next few weeks adding muscle and then more weeks on skin. Gave the student a perspective on features I guess.

He's currently taking a break from the game due to school/work or I'd get you the link to his blog where he posts up his drawings.

Well, I appreciate it. I dont figure Ill ever stop drawing... just considering starting to show some of them. And since I didn't want to embarrass myself, I figured this would be a good place to start. OT doesn't exactly have a reputation for sparing peoples feelings.

The woman with the veil was a actually a woman who lived in my apartment building a few years back. And yes, she had a pretty good body on her. I put the veil in the drawing because everytime I tried to draw the nose, it came out looking that those pig people from 'return of the jedi'
