Georges St.Pierre not only won his fight against BJ Penn, but came home as the top dog in MMA Salaries according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Here is the latest breakdown of UFC 58 USA vs Canada from Las Vegas, Nevada...

George St Pierre - $24,000 to show $24,000 to win. $48,000

    B.J. Penn - $25,000

Mike Swick - $5,000 to show $5,000 to win. $10,000

Tom Murphy - $5,000 to show $5,000 to win. Total $10,000

    Icho Laurenas - $3,000

Josh Lambert - $2,000 to show $2,000 to win. Total $4,000

    Rob McDonald - $5,000

Sam Stout - $2,000 to show $2,000 to win. Total $4,000

    Spencer Fisher - $8,000

Mark Hominick - $2,000 to show $2,000 to win. Total $4,000

    Yves Edwards - $8,000

Nathan Marquart - $15,000 to show $15,000 to win. Total $30,000

    Joe Doerkson - $5,000

    Steve Vigneault - $2,000

Rich Franklin - $16,000 to show $16,000 to win. $34,000

    David Loiseau - $9,000

    TOTAL PURSE $209,000

The UFC 57 card was three times the amount as this past UFC 58 card as UFC 57 paid out $666,000 for the total purse. Liddell and Couture combined for $500,000.

fucking DIRT pay, especially for the undercard. considering they fight 2-3 times a year, it's sad that most fighters can't make this their career

only if you're a bigger name. everybody else gets chicken scratch. mind you they have to pay their own way through training, etc. as well. some fighters are lucky to make $40,000 annually with fight and endorsement money combined

thanks to endorsements, but for fighting salary alone it's pretty pitiful. if anything, for the principle of it all, it's complete shit. just goes to show how much the UFC thinks they're worth

Hopefully the IFL will do well and the UFC will be forced to make changes.

fucking scum money. Some of those guys would spend more of medical after the fight. Considering how much tickets go for, the amount of ppl watch it, paytv rights etc etc, danna white seems to be a c u n t

They have to, when you look at 3 -4 fights a yr at $2-3k I can make more working part time at CVS for a yr. They still have to live somewhere pay for training etc. A friend of mine(he fights amateur events) told me that the promoter takes out insurance on you when you fight and that covers your medical bills.
