has anyone ever got a sweet compliment from an officer?

for example: today while at medical in civilian clothes i had a Captain O-6 come up to me and tell me that i had the sharpest tattoo he had ever seen, with the linework and shading. then read the phrase on it, and said "thats just the coolest thing" and then proceeded to tell me to lay on my back and he stretched the shit out of all my back muscles and popped the spine. then told me to stand under a hot shower, and said "are you familiar with motrin?" and then "what about muscle relaxers?" gave me the RX and away i went.

but hell i felt like a BAMF with the best tattoo ever.

you have any cool stories? mainly of officers you dont know, because my XO is cool as shit...

but my back is still killing me.

the muscle relaxers put me to sleep.

and for those who are wondering

i threw my backout in softball or something, because i can barely move or breathe without the motrin and muscle relaxers

Seriously. I don't get it. As an officer I give compliments where they are due.

A compliment from an officer? None that I can think of, outside of my CoC that is. I did however have a complaint from a Maj the other day. Apparently he didnt like the idea of me taking my patrol car (gov vehicle, im an MP) through the drive through of burger king here on base. Said he had gotten a ticket for it on another base and I was setting a bad example. I told him something along the lines of "Yes sir, I wont do it again" and continued to wait in line and ordered my food. Hah.

kinda like the chief insignia, but not. it has a ton of meaning to me. saying was a fortune cookie i got when my parents kicked me out and said you will never be successful unless you make a lot of money.... then the heart is like one i drew my senior year in class, and the anchor fits two ways..... USCG and or (the real reason here) my life is finaly secure, and although the future is soo uncertain of where ill be, i finally feel safe and secure in my career. and thats what an anchor does, secure a vessel to the sea bed
