A coworker of mine has a laptop with Windows 2000 and Office 2000 on it. He uses the Office Shortcut Bar which is set to dock in the upper right corner of the screen.

Whenever his computer goes to sleep automatically (from being idle) when he returns his pointer is hidden if it goes anywhere to the top of the screen (the height of the shortcut bar).

It is fixed with a simple reboot but I was wondering if anyone knew of a fix or patch for this? Maybe I'll just disable the computer from going to sleep automatically and just have the monitor turn off.

    Thanks in advance.

I would convince him to switch to toolbar from within windows myself. You should be able to recreate every item on that bar in a folder and then make it a toolbar.

I used to love using that toolbar but it doesn't seem to make any sense now that the OS comes with the built in capability.
