    I'm still not sold on the Yamaha being superior to the honda. Rossi is just the best motorcycle racer in the history of the sport... I bet he could have just as easily won the 2005 championship on the Honda or even Ducati (the zuk or kwacker would be pushing it, even for the man)...

    A lot has to do with how he told the people at Yamaha about how he wanted the bike to run. According to his autobigraphy, the people at Yamaha place emphasis on the rider and bike together, while Honda believes that the bike alone will win the race. He said that the Honda engineers didnt really care much about what he had to say about the bike.

    There is a lot of truth to this as Yamaha really customized the bike to his liking... Probably why he was so insanely dominant in 2005...

    if you look at the results, its usually rossi in the lead with 10 hondas right behind
