into the wild blue yonder...
...Climbing high into the sun.
During my Warrior Leaders Course, the instructor told us we could go home early if we could sing the theme song for the best branch in the US military. I was the Platoon Sgt that day, and before anyone could even draw a breath to start the Army song, I ripped out the first few words to the Air Force song.
I had gotten a lot of shit from day one for being ex-air force, and that day I gave a little back.
Good times. Good times.
the base commander here at DM decided that would be a good song to play every wednesday at noon over the loudspeaker. he though it would be good for moral and what not. it makes me want to puke...
I have to admit, while ours isn't the greatest, I don't think I will want to be the one to write a new one.
that would be sweet to write a song for a branch
the the tune of the good ole af song-
SRB's have disappeared,
where the fuck, did they go?
budget cuts makes force re-shape-ing
where did my AFSC go?
down they dive, to kiss the commander's ass...
what the fuck did i get in to?
we live in fame, flying pine woodgrain, hey!!!
nothing can stop the US Air Force!!!
flying high into the sky
....I have to sing that every damn morning
i'd probably take my own life
You sir, are on a roll.
that would suck, we typically only sing it for major events.
