write the most inefcient way to compute 2+2
    in any language
bloat code (IE code that has nothing to do with the process, is frowned upon. make it good, interesting and make it work... )
bonus points for a cool web interface. but object oriented is very good in this case too.

if the code requires being compiled, then link to source and compiled code.
any viruses inserted into the code will cause your entry to be rejected, and you to be come down upon by every white hat on this board.
please be sure to specify what platofrm this works for.
    bonus points for basic programs

good luck gentlemen and happy coding

Love the idea. I'm not too sure about how inefficient I can make 2+2 though. :dunno:

    Any "due" date for this?

    undecided yet...

I would like some people to help choose the winning entries... oh and if we can get some full forum coverage (assuming this thing has any popularity) that would be appreciated too...

Ok, lets make the rules and you can create a new thread with all of the details. I'll sticky that one.

    Objective
Compute 2+2 in the most inefficient way.

    Due Date
    TBD

    Rules
    * Any programming language.
    * Code that doesn't help solve the objective hurts your score.
    * Viruses are a sign off for your own death by members of this forum.
    * Judges are allowed to participate.

    Judges
    TBD

We'll need judges that are well educated to more than one language (which counts me out :p ). Dommi, once everyone agrees with the rules/contest, go ahead and post a new thread laid out like mine and I'll sticky it for you. Once we do that, we can make a thread in the main forum and link back to ours.

Will the 2+2 be entered from the user... or should it be hard coded?

Yeah, I was thinking more about it last night. I could really make this a distributed process, but I'm not sure I want to spend that much time on it. :o

I would like to help out being a judge..

I know C/C++ pretty well, along with Perl, and begining to pick up Java
I use Perl and starting to use Java in my daily job.. C and C++ is only used when there are no options left or they need a bigger production type of process written.

I read Code very well in my opinion. I can follow code well.
